Faculty Member Consolidates Management Textbooks for Online Use
An associate professor of business administration at Pennsylvania College of Technology was in the forefront of a major textbook publishers latest initiative in distance education.
Gerald D. "Chip" Baumgardner was the lead writer for a McGraw-Hill project titled Principles of Management Online, in which he consolidated the publishers three best-selling Principles of Management textbooks into one usable online class that would be suitable for each of the books. McGraw-Hill expects a national rollout of the product later this year.
A frequent writer on online-education issues, Baumgardner holds a bachelors degree from The Pennsylvania State University, masters degrees from Penn State and Shippensburg University, and a doctorate from George Mason University.
