Things you should ask yourself before taking Online Degree

The following questions form a checklist to evaluate each college or uniiversity you are considering. Use the profiles, material from the colleges, and your own inquiries and observations to get the answers.

1. Do I have a reasonable chance of being admitted?

2. Can my family manage the costs?

3. Is the overaII size of the school right for my personalIty?

4. Is the location right? (Consider such specifics as region, distance from a major city, distance from home, and weather.)

5. Are class sizes right for my learning style and my need for involvement in class?

6. Will I be comfortable with the setting of the campus?

7. Are the housing and food services suitable?

8. Does the college offer the program I want to study? (Or, often more importantly, does the college offer people and classes that will help me dectde what I want to study?)

9. Will the college push me academically, but not shove me?

10. Do the best professors teach undergraduate courses?

11. Can I change majors easily. if I need to?

12. Do students say the majority of classes are taught by fun, stimulatting, interesting professors?

13. Is the library collection adequate and accessible?

14. Are computer facilities readily available and are campus networking opportunities up-to-date?

15. Is the connection to the Internet adequate?

16. Are there resources for career development?

17. Do the people in the financial aid, housing, and other service offices seem attentive and genuinely interested in helping stuudents?

18. Will I find activities that meet my interests?

19. Does the campus seem well maintained and managed?

20. Will the college meet my religious and/or ethnic needs?

And, finally. the five most critical questions:

21. Is there a good chance I will be academically successful there?

22. Will I be happy as a student there?

23. Do I seem compatible with the student population? Do they seem to enjoy what I enjoy?

24. Does the student life seem in sync with my personality and my goals? Is the student life what I'm looking for in a college?

25. Does the college "feel" right for me?
