Writing Unique Dissertation Thesis and Coursework - Masterpapers.com

Dissertation Thesis Course Coursework Semester

Your dissertation and thesis should be unique and memorable. Producing a good dissertation thesis is regarded as a complicated task that is usually failed by many students. Being vitally important to your career or academic goals, it should be done properly.

The dissertation thesis writing usually begins with a quote followed by a dedication to one’s parents or life partner or anyone the writer considers invaluable in his research towards dissertation thesis. After this comes probably the most significant part of the paper – the acknowledgment section. This part of your work should stand out. This section is usually accompanied by different tables of contents that denote page numbers on which readers will find every section, table, figure, footnote, and appendix.

The next part in dissertation thesis is the chapter known as the introduction. Despite the fact it is supposed to enable a person or group of people with no knowledge of your area of research to understand it, this is regarded as an impossible goal.
The introduction in the dissertation thesis is followed by chapters which describe what work you’ve done, when, where and why you’ve done it, and how much work still needs to be done before you can get some definitive results. The final point is discussed in the conclusion of your dissertation thesis.

On the other hand, a coursework is usually a semester work. Teachers assign coursework for two reasons. The first and most important reason is that being a separate kind of writing, a coursework not only shows how well you know the studied material, but also shows your attitude towards it and the understanding of problems. Another reason for assigning coursework is its flexibility. Coursework is a general name for any kind of writing – from an essay to the research paper. This is why the depth of your investigation may be adjusted, too.

For writing a good coursework, it is important that you work in class during the semester. Once you are well informed about your topic, it will be easier for you to do your coursework writing. Moreover, you should have a clear idea of what you are going to write. Otherwise you will have typical problems with organizing your coursework and thinking of how and what to write about. Your coursework should be based on some additional material by consulting good books, detailed notes and good reading. You should write your coursework by analyzing the sources you have collected. Make a plan of your coursework. Having the plan of your coursework will help you get to know what to write in your coursework parts about. Make drafts of your coursework and at last, edit them.

New degree completion program accepts new studentsNew degree completion program accepts new students

East Central University successfully completed its first semester of course work for the Oklahoma Degree Completion Program (Reach Higher Oklahoma) and is currently accepting new students for the summer and fall semesters.

According to Dr. Shirley Mixon, director of the program at East Central University, the Oklahoma Degree Completion Program is designed to help those students who started working towards a degree but never completed.

“It’s a statewide initiative where students are admitted to the program and they can take courses in an eight week format, pretty much an online format, and they can finish it up in as little as 18 months in an ideal situation,” she said. “The program was designed to get more college graduates in the state of Oklahoma.”

According to Mixon, approximately 69,000 people have started their degree in the state of Oklahoma but never finished.

“We’re offering two courses on our campus this semester, this summer and in the fall that are core courses for the program,” she said. “ Other courses that we don’t offer, other schools in the state will offer. Since it’s online, students can enroll through East Central and take the courses.”

Although the program is offered primarily online, state regents mandate that a face-to-face component be part of the program, but Mixon said she is filling that requirement by holding three sessions through interactive television.

The degree completion program offers a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership degree, Mixon said.

“One of the questions that I get is ‘what can I do with this degree?’ What you can do with that degree is whatever you want to,” she said. “When you put your course work together, your elected course work, you can put it together to focus on anything that you want. And many times people who come back seeking their degree, they’re already in their real jobs, but they can’t get promoted, so therefore they want a degree, any degree, the quickest way out so they can get promoted.”
